Income Inequality Will Drive Politics Of 2012

Republicans are worried that the issue of income inequality will hurt their campaigns in 2012. The Occupy Wall Street Movement shows that income inequality has not been this high in America since the 1920s. Democrats feel that one solution to this inequality is to continue a payroll tax cut that lowers the Social Security levy. Senator Jon Kyl, a Republican, has already voiced that he will not favor the extension of this tax cut. There is a significant difference in opinions regarding whether or not the government should step up to decrease this income gap between the rich and poor. The Republican party differs from the public in their take on the issues relating to this income inequality.
