What would Ron Paul do with income inequality?

Ron Paul is a big fan of “doing less”, however, he might have to roll up his sleeves and get to work on this issue. As this article shows (and many of us already know), the top 1% of the U.S. population is diverging from the rest in terms of income while their tax rates are converging. This violates one of Ron Paul’s expressly written tenet in his book Liberty Defined: “Government may not redistribute private wealth or grant special privileges to any individual or group.” The problem is that the system seems to be routing resources away from the middle class and towards the 1%- which violates Ron Paul’s tenet. Therefore we can assume that if he were to win office, he would take action to halt the ever-increasing inequality gap that plagues America today.
