Gingrich risks conservative ire on immigration

This article talks about how the frontrunner Republican presidential candidate said he would favor allowing illegal immigrants who have lived in the US for many years to stay. This relates to our class discussion on population growth and migration increases. With the California-Mexico border having many loopholes, illegal immigrants can cross the border and live life in the US. This increase in population growth in the United States will continue to rise tremendously if the borders are left the way they are and allowing amnesty to illegals might give Mexico residents an idea that migrating to America can have long-term security.
