Law School Enrollment Benefits from Weakened Economy

Law School: it's more than just an institute of learning; it's also a business.

As the recent economy continues to shake, law schools increase their tuition rates due to the increased number in applicants. Since the risk of being laid off encourages people to stay in school, a legal diploma draws them towards law school. Even bottom tiered law schools such as NYS have raised their tuition to a whopping $47,800. While the legal degree is attractive, critics fear that young people may be risking too much of their future by taking out 100,000-200,000 dollar loans to pay for law school.
