The cracks are showing

One of the most important crucial issues facing the United States today is the state of its infrastructure. As recent events such as the collapse of the levees in New Orleans and the failure of a bridge in Minneapolis show, America's infrastructure is badly in need of repair. However, as an article from the Economist shows, America has been slow to act to fix its infrastructure that was once among the best in the world. One possible solution that the article suggests is to have private investors invest in government infrastructure projects. Another source of hope is the focus that politicians have placed on fixing infrastructure in their campaigns. Others suggest that investment in infrastructure would put millions back to work.
