FCC Uncovers AT&T's Lies about Merging with T-Mobile

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has conducted a report that shows the lies AT&T has made about merging with T-Mobile. According to the report, several of the "benefits" that AT&T had put forth regarding this merger were untrue. For example, the FCC's report stated that if AT&T and T-Mobile merge, there would be less competition in the cell-phone industry, causing prices to increase for costumers. AT&T also claimed that if they merge with T-Mobile, there will be several new jobs available. However, as David Goldman reports in his article titled, "FCC Blasts AT&T for Lies about T-Mobile Merger," the FCC's report found this "to be inconsistent with AT&T's internal analyses." The FCC believes that AT&T's initial decision to withdraw from this merger was because they didn't want the FCC to provide the public with the lies they had put forth. Unfortunately, it is too late for that.
