Europe's Economic Crisis

This week in class we learned about causes of the Great Depression and possible ways the government could raise GDP and put an end to the economic downturn. This article from the Washington Post titled "Will anyone rescue Europe from its Economic Crisis?" defines harsh realities of the recession in Europe and why Europe cannot rescue itself. The article states that there are too many needy debtors and too few credible lenders. Furthermore, Europe's Federal Reserve (The European Central Bank) has chosen not to buy an unlimited amount of bond in fear of inflation. Finally, the IMF needs more money!
