U.S. jobless rate drops to 2-1/2 year low

Many jobs have been added and the unemployment rate has recently dropped in the United States. With an increasing growth rate for the U.S. economy, it is unclear if this can be healthily maintained through next year. There is a very short run divergence as the U.S. "recovers" while European countries continue to struggle. Will there be eventual convergence or will this short run divergence extend?
